StoryMe History ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of your family. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the StoryMe History app.
StoryMe History stores child profile information (name, age, and preferences) and generated stories locally on your device. We do not require an account or collect personal identifying information such as email addresses.
When you generate a story, your child's first name, age, and selected historical companion are sent securely to our story generation server. This data is used solely to generate your story and is not stored on our servers after delivery.
Story prompts (child name, age, and selected historical companion) are sent to our API to generate personalized historical adventure stories using OpenAI's language model. Historical era content from our built-in library is combined with your child's details to craft each story. No story content or child data is retained on our servers.
We do not sell, share, or disclose any personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
StoryMe History is designed for use by parents on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All data entry and app use is performed by parents or guardians.
Story content and child profiles are stored only on your device and are not accessible to us.
All child profiles, stories, and preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data does not leave your device except as described in the story generation section above.
You can delete all stored data at any time by uninstalling the app.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how purchase data is handled.
Subscription management and entitlement verification are handled by RevenueCat using device and purchase identifiers. No personal identifying information is shared with RevenueCat.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
